9.334

「口中好言諸佛應世，某處某人當是某佛化身來此，某人即是某菩薩等來化人間。其人見故，心生傾渴，邪見密興，種智銷滅。此名魃鬼，年老成魔，惱亂是人。厭足心生，去彼人體，弟子與師俱陷王難。汝當先覺，不入輪迴；迷惑不知，墮無間獄。」

"From his mouth he likes to speak of the Buddhas responding to the world, that such-and-such a person in such-and-such a place must be an emanation of such-and-such a Buddha coming here, or that such-and-such a person is such-and-such a bodhisattva coming to transform the human world. Because that person sees this, yearning and thirst arise in his mind; wrong views secretly arise, and the wisdom of all species is obliterated. This is called a drought ghost, which in old age has become a demon, troubling and disordering this person. When a feeling of satiety and weariness arises, it leaves that person's body; both disciple and teacher fall into trouble with the king's law. You should be aware beforehand so as not to enter saṃsāra; if confused and unaware, you will fall into the Avīci Hell."
