Language
Classical Chinese

9.338

'Mian' means close. 'Wen' means unite. 'Cheng' means congealed and quiescent. 'Subtle thinking' is the aforementioned mind of affection. Now, when contrivance is eliminated and there is quiescent illumination, marks and thoughts do not arise, and the principle is naturally harmonized in darkness. If one hopes to unite and blend, thoughts of affection secretly increase, doubt and division immediately occur, and demonic delusion is subsequently attracted.
