Second, citing the assembly that heard it together: the assembly hearing it together was not only the three vehicles, but also encompassed the various destinies; below it fully includes the eight classes of devas and nāgas, kings, ministers, and bodhisattvas. In the initiating introduction, the present text has only two classes, which is the translator's skillful brevity. The text has two: first, śrāvakas; second, pratyekabuddhas. The first text has three: first, designating the class and citing the number.
