The bodily faculties and seeds belong to the internal: being conditioned, they are grasped and sustained. The mountains, rivers, and great earth belong to the external: they are merely conditioned, not grasped and sustained. These three spheres are all the objective division (nimitta-bhāga) of the ālayavijñāna. Furthermore, this sphere of space arises from delusion and falsity, being transformed by consciousness; the consciousness that transforms is entirely avidyā, arising through delusion regarding reality, and likewise has no self-substance. The transforming [consciousness] and the transformed [realms] are both images manifested by the mirror-mind. Therefore, the earlier text says: "Your body and your mind are all things manifested within the true mind." Not knowing this principle, they instead cling to the idea that "my mind is within the physical body." Hence this concludes and demonstrates it.
