If tested by this, then know that when your body is compared and paralleled with the Tathāgata's body, revealing and demonstrating them, the Buddha's body is upright, and your body must be inverted. Alternatively, it can be read: if the Buddha's body is analogously revealed through the Buddha's seeing the hand, one clearly knows the Buddha's body is named Right and Universal Knowledge; if your body is compared alongside your seeing the hand, one clearly knows your body is designated as of an inverted nature. How are you not acting in an inverted manner? 'Right and Universal Knowledge' (samyak-saṃbuddha): separated from inversion, it is named 'right'; exhaustively fathoming the dharmadhātu, it is named 'universal knowledge.' Ordinary beings and those of the two vehicles do not have this designation because all are inverted.
