4.193

The essence of the seven great elements is empty like the sun's reflection; following east and west corresponds to the differentiation into seven distinct elements. Though they differ according to direction, they do not depart from a single reflection; though the seven great elements are differentiated, they do not depart from a single falsehood. If the east can be taken as the standard, what then is the west? What is real is one, and ought not to go separately; if one knows it is a reflection, oneness and multiplicity naturally vanish.
