6.12

In the state where awareness is empty, the wisdom of contemplation is already exhausted, and one is exclusively aligned with the wisdom of cultivation. The contemplative practice increases in subtlety, and the wisdom of cultivation becomes completely perfected; thus it is said: 'emptiness and awareness reaching ultimate perfection.' This wisdom of cultivation, which is capable of emptying, and the awareness that was emptied also both cease to persist; hence it is said: 'the emptiness and the object of emptiness were extinguished.' This eliminates the wisdom of cultivation; this is what the earlier text meant by, having liberated dharmas, both emptinesses do not arise. The *Sūtra of Complete Enlightenment* says: 'Leaving behind the leaving behind of illusions is also left far behind.'
