*Pratyekabuddha* is translated as solitarily enlightened, and also as condition-enlightened. The former awakens purely on his own, whereas this one awakens relying on teaching. Contemplating the twelve causal conditions, they practice the two kinds of contemplation of origination and cessation, taking the truth of origination as the initial gate. Before bringing forth reality, they are called 'those still in training.' When their principle and wisdom are about to become complete, the bodhisattva takes on an identical body and will surely entice them to advance.
