"Each time at meals, or at midnight, take half a sheng of honey and three ge of ghee. In front of the altar set a separate small brazier. Boil turuṣka incense to make fragrant water, bathe the charcoal with it, and ignite it so it burns fiercely. Cast this ghee and honey into the blazing brazier, burning them until the smoke is gone, to make an offering to the buddhas and bodhisattvas."
