"During the first seven days, with utmost sincerity prostrate to the names of the tathāgatas of the ten directions, the great bodhisattvas, and the arhats. Constantly during the six periods of the day, recite the mantra as you circumambulate the altar; with a dedicated mind perform the practice, constantly circumambulating one hundred and eight times per period. During the second seven days, with a single-minded devotion make the bodhisattva vows without interruption; my vinaya already contains teachings on vows. During the third seven days, throughout the twelve two-hour periods constantly uphold the Buddha's Padmara [Sitātapatrā] Mantra. When it reaches the seventh day, the tathāgatas of the ten directions will appear simultaneously at the place where the light of the mirrors intersects, and you will receive the Buddha's crowning touch."
