"Holding this mantra-heart, the tathāgatas of the ten directions are able to rub crowns and confer prophecies in the ten directions; when their own fruition is not yet perfected, they also receive prophecies from the Buddhas in the ten directions. Relying on this mantra-heart, the tathāgatas of the ten directions can rescue and liberate all sufferers in the ten directions—namely, the hells, hungry ghosts, animals, the blind, deaf, dumb, and mute, the suffering of encountering what is hated, the suffering of separation from what is loved, the suffering of not getting what is sought, and the blazing of the five skandhas—causing them to be simultaneously liberated from all great and small untimely calamities; calamities of bandits, calamities of soldiers, calamities of rulers, calamities of prisons, calamities of wind, fire, and water, hunger, thirst, and poverty, all dissolving at a single thought. Following this mantra-heart, the tathāgatas of the ten directions are able to serve good spiritual friends in the ten directions, making offerings as they wish in all four deportments, and being praised as great Dharma Princes within the assemblies of tathāgatas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges."
