Although previously bliss pervaded the ground of mind, it was limited to body and mind and was not yet called pervasive; now it pervades both circumstantial and direct retributions, bliss and purity being harmonious and complete, with no place in the world, body, or mind not pervaded; exquisite and wondrous bliss accomplishes pure virtue. The "superior refuge" is this very pure bliss, which is the superior place upon which those practitioners rely; because they realize this bliss, it is called "returning."
