1.52

「所以亦異」者，義趣別也。此則理體雖同，義異名異。如理有遍照義，故立觀智之名；理有遍攝義，故立慈氏之稱。名義雖異，只是一理，故云「不離於理」也。

"Therefore also differ": the significance and purports differ. Here, although the substance of principle is identical, its significance differs and its names differ. Just as principle has the sense of universal illumination, hence establishing the name of contemplating wisdom; and principle has the sense of universal inclusion, hence establishing the title of Maitreya (the Benevolent One). Though name and meaning differ, it is only a single principle; hence it is said, "they are not apart from the principle."
