2.55

「捨六」下，標示進義。應云「色塵眼根」，言六，通舉也。「亦於」下，約四教明義。「云云」者，謂藏了根塵生滅，通了即空故不染雜，別不染雜於空，圓不染雜二邊，是精義也。

From "renouncing the six" downward marks and indicates the meaning of vigor. It should say "the sense object of form and the eye faculty"; saying "six" is a generalized mention. From "also regarding" downward clarifies the meaning in terms of the four teachings. "And so on" means: the Tripiṭaka understands the arising and ceasing of faculty and object; the shared understands them as identical to emptiness and thus does not defile or mix them; the distinct does not defile or mix them with emptiness; the perfect does not defile or mix them with the two extremes—this is the meaning of diligence.
