第二生信者，如大地能生草木，信如父母能資養男女，若佛寶則資長法身。此則第二生信。如外道經書則無如是六義，所以被誹謗。

Second, generating faith: just as the great earth can produce grasses and trees, and faith is like parents who can support and nurture boys and girls, so the Buddha jewel nurtures and develops the Dharma body. This is the second, generating faith. Since non-Buddhist scriptures do not possess these six meanings, they are subject to slander.
