述曰：第二帝釋請。此天帝釋請，有十段經文：第一聞之驚愕，第二思受何身，第三入定諦觀，第四具知所受，第五痛傷心腑，第六師仰如來，第七帝釋持供，第八詣聖恭敬，第九廣獻佛前，第十具聞七返。此即第一聞之驚愕。

The commentary says: Second, Śakra's request. In this request of Śakra Devānām Indra, there are ten sections of sūtra text: first, hearing it and being astonished; second, contemplating what bodies will be received; third, entering samādhi and attentively observing; fourth, fully knowing what is to be received; fifth, feeling grief that cuts to the heart; sixth, looking up to the Tathāgata as teacher; seventh, Śakra holding offerings; eighth, going to the Sage with reverence; ninth, making extensive offerings before the Buddha; tenth, hearing fully of the seven rebirths. This is the first: hearing it and being astonished.
