「更問十遮：汝今字誰？」答言：「某甲。」「和尚字誰？」答云：「某甲。」「年滿二十不？」答：「滿。」「衣鉢具足不？」答：「具。」「父母聽汝不？」（隨有言：「聽。」若無言：「無。」）「汝不負債不？」答：「無。」「汝非他賤人佛不許度不？是奴不？」答「無。」「汝非官人不？」答：「無。」「汝是丈夫不？」答：「是丈夫。」「有如是病，癩、癕疽、白癩、乾痟、顛狂，汝今無此諸病不？」答言：「無」者。

"I further ask about the ten disqualifications: What is your name now?" He answers: "So-and-so." "What is the name of your upādhyāya?" He answers: "So-and-so." "Are you a full twenty years of age?" He answers: "Full." "Are your robes and bowl complete?" He answers: "Complete." "Do your parents give you permission?" (According to whether they are living, he says: "They give permission." If not living, he says: "None.") "Are you free of debts?" He answers: "Free." "Are you not a person of base status whom the Buddha does not permit to be ordained? Are you a slave?" He answers: "No." "Are you not a government official?" He answers: "No." "Are you a man?" He answers: "I am a man." "There are diseases such as these: leprosy, boils and ulcers, white leprosy, dry consumption, and madness; do you now not have these diseases?" He answers: "No."
