二明受日法。夏中有緣，故聽受日；必準聖言，依法加受；妄自誑心，受而破夏；虛損信施，可悲之甚。故委示焉。

Second, explaining the procedure for taking leaves of absence (receiving days). Because there are conditions during the summer, taking leaves of absence is permitted; one must definitely follow the holy words and formalize the receipt according to Dharma; if one falsely deceives one's own mind, receiving it and yet breaking varṣā, one squanders the offerings of the faithful in vain, which is utterly lamentable. Therefore, it is shown in detail.
