2.227

律不犯者：食作非食想，不受作餘食法，非食不作法，若病不作法，病人殘不作法，若已作餘食法，一切不犯。

Under the Vinaya, there is no transgression if: one perceives food as non-food; one does not accept it without the residual-food rite being performed; it is non-food and the rite is not performed; one is ill and does not perform the rite; it is the leftovers of an ill person and one does not perform the rite; or if the residual-food rite has already been performed—in all these cases, there is no transgression.
