搏比丘戒七十九。前是限分，此戒深防，擬便是犯。《伽論》：舉手向眾多比丘，一一提。

Precept Seventy-nine: Raising a hand to strike a bhikṣu. The previous precept concerned actual contact; this precept provides deeper prevention, where merely raising the hand to strike incurs the offense. The Vinayasaṃgraha states: "Raising a hand toward many bhikṣus incurs a pāyattika for each."
