靜默者，謂無高聲也。不犯者：病、若聾須高喚囑授、若高聲施食、若二難高聲走者。

Remaining quiet means not making loud sounds. One does not commit an offense if: ill, being deaf and needing loud shouting to impart instructions, offering food with a loud voice, or running while shouting loudly due to the two perils.
