今依諸戒，通別二緣。別具犯相，已如前〈隨戒〉釋訖。有人通立五緣，用解諸戒者；非無此義，後進未知。今立通緣，遍該六聚，七種不同。

Now, relying on the various precepts, there are common and specific conditions. The specific complete marks of offenses have already been explained above in 'According to the Precepts'. Some people universally establish five conditions to explain the various precepts; it is not that this meaning does not exist, but subsequent students do not yet know it. Now we establish the common conditions, comprehensively covering the six categories, with seven different varieties.
