2.473

一知其罪名、種、相，如第一方解。名謂僧殘也，種謂漏失、摩觸也，相謂犯之多少也。律云，一名多種，住別異故。

First, knowing its offense name, type, and mark, as explained in the first method. 'Name' refers to saṃghāvaśeṣa; 'type' refers to emission of semen, physical contact, etc.; 'mark' refers to the quantity of the transgression. The Vinaya states: 'One name with many types, because the abodes are distinct.'
