3.24

一求財如法。謂非四邪五邪、興利販易，得者不成。律云：不以邪命得、激發得、相得，犯捨墮衣不得作等。

1. Seeking the material in accordance with the Dharma. That is, it must not be through the four wrong livelihoods or the five wrong livelihoods, nor through pursuing profit and trading; that which is so obtained does not constitute [a proper robe]. The Vinaya states: "Obtained through wrong livelihood, obtained through indirect hints, or obtained through bodily signs—[these] incur a niḥsargika-pāyattika offense, and the robe must not be made," and so forth.
