Fifth, explaining the offering requisites. If there are śrāmaṇeras or kappiyakārakas, instruct them to pluck flowers; incense-water trays, stands, and bowls should be prepared—five vessels or three vessels—arranged alternately with the flower trays and set out in rows within the hall. If in winter or in a month without flowers, one should prepare silk flowers. Spreading fabrics and mats on the ground, arrange them among the saṃgha. Together with the incense burner, tally table, and the requisites for the high seat, all should be solemn and orderly, making them worthy of behold.
