Precept twenty-four: Urging a weaver to increase the robe thread. The treatise states that six conditions constitute the transgression: first, an unrelated householder with a sincere mind prepares thread and sends it to be woven; second, the original arrangement had a limit; third, knowing there was a limit; fourth, urging and praising fine weaving and promising compensation; fifth, he increases the thread on that account; sixth, receiving it constitutes the offense. The Dharmaguptaka Vinaya states: Seeking the robe and not obtaining it is a duṣkṛta. Allowances: asking for a reduction, asking from relatives, asking from monastics, or another doing so for oneself.
