Precept twenty-five: making robes for an unrelated bhikṣuṇī. Meeting three conditions constitutes the offense: first, she is a bhikṣuṇī; second, she is not a relative; third, transgressing according to making them. In the Vinaya: according to how much is cut with a knife, and according to each stitch and needle, each is a pāyattika. If one also drapes, pulls, irons, rubs with the hand, or holds the corners to pull them square and fold them, or edges them with cord and thread, all are duṣkṛtas. As for non-offenses: making them for a related bhikṣuṇī; making them for a Buddha, stūpa, or the saṃgha; or washing, dyeing, mending, and returning to the owner robes borrowed for wearing, etc.
