First is being a monastic of the five assemblies. This excludes the remaining thirteen obstacles and so forth; as they do not obtain the precepts, there is no offense to be committed. Or one may be of the five assemblies, but before the intended object is accomplished, one either dies of oneself, or is killed by another, or relinquishes the original precepts, holds wrong views, produces the two sexual organs, and so forth; none of these are members of the five assemblies, so even if the karmic volition is fulfilled, there are no precepts to be violated.
