Second, explaining the procedure for granting mānatva. First, explaining the request formula: “May the venerable Saṃgha listen! I, the bhikṣu so-and-so, have committed the three saṃghāvaśeṣa offenses of intentional emission, physical contact, and coarse speech, without recalling the count of each, and concealed them for one night up to one hundred nights. I requested from the Saṃgha the karman for one hundred nights of concealment, and the Saṃgha granted me the karman for one hundred nights of concealment. I, the bhikṣu so-and-so, have practiced the days of concealment (if completed, he should say 'completed'); now I request from the Saṃgha the six nights of mānatva. May the Saṃgha grant me the six nights of mānatva out of compassion!” (Requested three times).
