Provisionally distinguishing the Great and Small Vehicles in this way allows one to roughly know the outline of the paths. However, the path of resemblance and the wholesome of resemblance are hard to know and hard to learn, frequently leading to falling into the thicket of heterodoxy; one must study comprehensively before being capable of correct contemplation, not taking the mere recitation of words as the work of the path. As stated in the Daśabhūmika-vibhāṣā and the Daśabhūmika. Furthermore, a sūtra says: 'By means of much hearing, one attains wisdom and thus enters the Buddhadharma.
