In the exceptions: 'according to the body's comfort' also requires sitting on grass, but without full formality; thus the Vinaya states: 'At that time there was a sick bhikṣu who bared one shoulder, took off his sandals, knelt, and joined his palms; as time passed, his illness worsened; he reported it to the Buddha, who consequently made an exception.' In the note, 'having finished pravāraṇā' refers to finishing one's own threefold declaration. It does not mean that the whole assembly has entirely finished; above it says 'returning to the seat upon finishing'—how could this not be clear!
