眾法中，上明法位。所秉有三，不參別法。所以然者，上得通下，下不兼上；是以對首通一，眾法兼二。餘如次科。此下，示名。

Under saṃgha transactions: the above clarifies the status of the transaction. What is performed has three forms and is not mixed with distinct transactions. The reason why this is so is that the higher can encompass the lower, but the lower does not encompass the higher; therefore, face-to-face encompasses one, while saṃgha transactions encompass two. The rest is as in the next heading. From "this" downward, the name is indicated.
