作法捨中。若約法儀，必須次捨；先食，次衣，後捨人界。若論失法，但捨人界，三種頓失。疏云：雖本失末亡，而非正則，亂倫獲罪。今云俱捨，語通漸頓。若準行事，須依漸法。

In [the section on] revoking by ritual action: According to the ritual procedure, they must be revoked in sequence: first food, next robes, and finally the boundary for persons. If we speak of the loss of the dharma, merely revoking the boundary for persons results in the sudden loss of all three kinds. The Commentary states: "Although the base is lost and the branches perish, this is not the proper rule, and one incurs an offense for disrupting the proper order." Now it says "revoking together," a phrasing that applies to both gradual and sudden [revocation]. If one accords with the execution of transactions, one must rely on the gradual method.
