示損中三，初推局見。保守身命，心不慕遠。違下，二示損害；上四句是損自。傳下，即誤他。請詳諸過，傷害極深；聞而不行，未審何意。後生謂是，承習無窮，故云遠也。改下，三誡勸。

In showing the harm, there are three parts: first, pointing out limited views. Preserving personal life, the mind does not aspire to what is far-reaching. From "violating" onward, the second shows the harm; the upper four lines are harming oneself. From "transmitting" onward, it is misleading others. Please scrutinize all the faults; the injury is exceedingly deep; hearing this and not putting it into practice, one wonders what the intention is! Later generations consider it correct, inheriting the practice without end, hence it is said to be "far-reaching." From "changing" onward, the third cautions and urges.
