In the next section: The first sentence resumes the preceding. The next two sentences explain accord with the teaching. "Mind" refers to the practicing mind; "object" is the aforesaid transaction. The mind is not ignorant of the teaching, and the transaction is not blindly relied upon; hence it says "illuminating each other." "Rules and models" refers to methods and standards, which are the aforesaid four dharmas, four statements, and four seals. The following two sentences explain accord with principle. Only citing when there is relevance, there is no complexity of arbitrary evaluation; not adopting by category distinctions, there is still no brevity of missing transactions. What the preceding text called "planning, measuring, and hitting the mean" is only here revealed; hence it is not obscured. "Hui" means dark; "mei" means hidden.
