次文，初歎法勝，意在生忻。故下，次明難得，以令自慶。上二句對餘趣簡人，下二句就人簡淨。當下，勸用心。隨時作者，示不盡也。律論廣者，如前教發戒中所引是也。但下，示教意。縱能自誦，亦須從教，由佛制故。

In the next text: First, it praises the supremacy of the Dharma, aiming to generate joy. From 'therefore' downwards, it explains how difficult it is to obtain, so that he rejoices in himself. The upper two phrases exclude non-humans in contrast to other destinies; the lower two phrases screen for purity with respect to humans. From 'duly' downwards, it urges mental focus. 'Composed according to the occasion' indicates that it is not exhaustive. The extensions in the Vinaya and treatises are as cited earlier in the instruction on generating the precepts. From 'only' downwards, it indicates the purpose of instruction. Even if he can recite it himself, he must still follow the instruction, because of the Buddha's regulation.
