資名中。以師望資，猶弟猶子；以資望師，如兄如父。祖師義釋，獨出今文；諸宗製撰，率多承用。

Regarding the name of the disciple: viewing the disciple from the perspective of the master, he is like a younger brother or a son; viewing the master from the perspective of the disciple, he is like an elder brother or a father. The Patriarchal Master's semantic explanation is unique to the present text; the compositions of various traditions have largely adopted it.
