注文，示正譯中。即下《三千威儀》初義，是今正用，故先舉之。言淨住者，二義釋之：一不失義，聞持無犯，體常存故；下云清淨戒住是也。二依止義，禁制三業，安住戒中；即《廣弘明集》云：淨身口意，如戒而住是也。

In the note, in pointing out the correct translation: it is the first meaning of the Sanqian Weiyi below, which is what is correctly used now, and is therefore raised first. As for 'dwelling in purity' (śuddhavāsa), it is explained with two meanings: First, the meaning of non-loss: because of hearing and maintaining without violation, its essence always abides; this is what is called below 'dwelling in the purity of the precepts'. Second, the meaning of reliance (nissaya): restraining the three karmas, one stably dwells within the precepts; that is what the Guang Hongming ji calls 'purifying body, speech, and mind, dwelling in accord with the precepts'.
