二十二。（佛在舍衛，難陀僧差往教授已，愛道重請至暮；尼出祇桓，還至舍衛；城門已閉，宿城塹中，俗譏故制。）疏云：本在僧寺，因過方制，令往尼寺。緣中可見。

Twenty-two. (The Buddha was in Śrāvastī. Nanda, having been assigned by the Sangha, went to give instruction; Gautamī invited him again until evening. The bhikṣuṇīs left Jetavana and returned to Śrāvastī; the city gates were already closed, and they stayed overnight in the city moat; people censured them, so it was prohibited.) The Commentary says: "Originally [instruction] was in the monastery; because of the fault it was only then prohibited, ordering them to go to the nunnery." This can be seen in the conditions.
