三波逸提。夜摩及後三天，竝依空住；通前即欲界六天也，此墮眾合地獄。人間二百年，為天一日，六千年為一月，七萬二千年為一年，七十二萬年為十年，七百二十萬年為百年，七千二百萬年為千年，十四千四百萬年為二千歲。（千萬為億，成十四億；十萬為千，成四十千；檢經本作二十四億，二字錯，合作四字；鈔云：二十一者，據算甚差，必應傳誤矣。）

Third, pāyattika: the Yāma and subsequent three heavens all dwell relying on space; together with the preceding, these are the six heavens of the desire realm. Here one falls into the Saṃghāta hell. Two hundred human years equal one celestial day, six thousand years equal one month, seventy-two thousand years equal one year, seven hundred twenty thousand years equal ten years, seven million two hundred thousand years equal one hundred years, seventy-two million years equal one thousand years, one hundred forty-four million years equal two thousand years. (Ten million is one yi, making fourteen yi; one hundred thousand is one "thousand", making forty "thousand"; checking the original text of the sūtra, it reads "twenty-four yi", which is an error of two characters that should be corrected to four; the Manual says "twenty-one", which is greatly aberrant according to calculation, and must be an error in transmission.)
