In the first [heading], the preceding part clarifies the distinction from confusion. Nowadays people indiscriminately refer to it as eating in separate groups, not knowing that consuming saṃgha food of itself incurs a grave theft offense; others see someone bringing food of different flavors to eat alone in the assembly and immediately call it food eaten in separate groups. Although such an action is unreasonable, names and teachings are as disparate as heaven and earth, and one must not confuse them. Therefore, the text below cites proof: the Mahāsāṃghika interprets "saṃgha" as an assembly, which designates nothing other than the permanent property of the assembly. The upper fascicle is in the chapter "Monastic Regulation".
