明三位中，初示諸部止有二種。次明《多論》復加僧次。注指上者，前文廣引。問：戒初已列三位，何以重明？答：前文但標所出，此明三位通有不集，故不同也。

In "Clarifying the Three Positions", it first shows that the various schools only have two kinds. Next it clarifies that the Sarvāstivāda Vinaya Vibhāṣā additionally adds monastic rotation. The commentary pointing to the above refers to the extensive citations in the preceding text. Question: Since the three positions were already listed at the beginning of the precept, why are they clarified again? Answer: The preceding text only indicated where they derived from; here it clarifies that all three positions universally have failure to assemble, so it is not the same.
