三十八。（佛在羅閱祇，迦羅坐禪乞食疲苦，食先所得者，佛呵制戒。）

[Precept] thirty-eight. (The Buddha was in Rājagṛha. Kāla grew exhausted and suffered from meditating and begging for food, so he ate what he had obtained previously; the Buddha reproved him and instituted the precept.)
