五中。淨人三法：一火淨，二別藥體，三施心授與。比丘三法：一仰手受，二或加記識，三分體分。七過：一內宿，二內煮，三自煮，四惡觸，五殘宿，六未手受，七受已停過須臾。準下，更有手受已變動，謂之八患。

In the fifth: the three methods of the pure person are: 1. fire purification, 2. distinguishing the substance of the medicine, 3. bestowing with a mind of giving. The three methods of the bhikṣu are: 1. receiving with upturned hands, 2. optionally adding mental noting, 3. dividing into portions according to substance. The seven faults are: 1. keeping overnight indoors, 2. cooking indoors, 3. cooking for oneself, 4. improper touch, 5. leftover overnight food, 6. not receiving by hand, 7. keeping it past a moment after receiving. Based on what follows, there is additionally transformation after being received by hand; these are called the eight troubles.
