釋初緣中。前引《僧祇》以明譏過。八種是總舉，乳酪即別相，彼律酥油乳酪蜜石蜜魚肉為八種。言招譏者，彼律俗人譏言瞿曇沙門，不能乞麁食，而乞酥油等；此敗壞人，何道之有。

In explaining the first condition: earlier it cited the Mahāsāṃghika-vinaya to clarify the fault of incurring criticism. "Eight kinds" is a general mention, while milk and curd are specific marks; in that vinaya, ghee, oil, milk, curd, honey, rock sugar, fish, and meat constitute the eight kinds. Regarding "incurring criticism": in that vinaya, laypeople criticized, saying: "The recluse of the Gautama clan cannot beg for coarse food, but instead begs for ghee, oil, and the like; such a corrupt person, what path does he have?"
