犯相中，《十誦》初約身動止。相去下，二就處近遠。罪相遞減，譏過淺深故。一尋八尺，即伸手內。

Under marks of violation, the Daśādhyāya-vinaya first addresses bodily movement and stillness. From "separated by" onward, it secondly considers the closeness or distance of the place. The marks of offense diminish in succession, because the fault incurring censure is shallow or deep. One vyāma is eight feet, which is within arm's reach.
