三中。《智論》，語通，例準淨人住處亦犯。若攝衣村界，必須男女；此制專輒，不由譏染，單男亦犯。

Under the third: In the *Mahāprajñāpāramitā-śāstra*, the phrasing is general, and by parallel rule, staying in the quarters of a pure attendant is also an offense. If taking robes beyond the village boundary, both male and female are required; but this prohibition is against acting on one's own authority, not due to suspicion of defilement, so even with a single male it is an offense.
