Under the sixth, the *Vinayadvāviṃśatividyā-śāstra* clarifies considering whether it is permissible or not. First, it presents and indicates it: this matter summarizes the three matters below. Below, 'meaning...', it explains that there are three. 'Informing a fellow precept-holder' means performing the formal procedure. 'Observing proper conduct' means evaluating the activity to be done. 'The deportment in the Vinaya' means wearing robes neatly. The Commentary quotes: 'The reason informing is allowed is: to contemplate faults in a place where someone has died; to protect the Dharma; to receive reliance; to preach or listen to the Dharma; or because there is an invitation to a meal. All these being beneficial, one is permitted to go to that place; one must avoid divine temples, shops and taverns, and the quarters of courtesans, non-Buddhists, and female renunciants, observing and staying far away from them' (this is proper conduct). The treatise also clarifies wearing the saṅghāṭī and so forth (which is Vinaya deportment).
