2.1451

平鉢二戒。（譏亦如上。）古師云：離偏斜過，謂擎鉢不正；今師約食，故云非溢。

The two precepts on leveling the bowl. (The censure is also as above.) The ancient master said: 'It means avoiding the fault of tilting it, which refers to holding the bowl unevenly.' The present master defines it according to the food, hence saying it must not overflow.
