In the fifth, "Periods of Time": the first section. Question: In listing the four minds, the neutral is omitted in the middle; hence it says "up to." As for "mindless," in the treatise it is entering the cessation attainment; according to the question in the Karma Commentary, since all three natures generally obtain [the precepts], "mindless" must be subsumed under the neutral. The answer that it is generally applicable states: if one first, with a wholesome mind, pays homage to the Saṃgha with palms joined, and the jñapti-caturtha generates the action, continuing uninterruptedly to completion, this is called generated by a wholesome mind and obtained with a wholesome mind. If one first generates the action with a wholesome mind up to that point, but before the karmavācanā is finished, an unwholesome thought arises, then by the power of the preceding wholesome mind, the generated action arises spontaneously and accompanies the unwholesome; this is called generated by a wholesome mind and obtained with an evil mind. The neutral sleeping mind and entering the cessation attainment are also like this.
